Woot Arena Season 8!

Hey guys, long time no post. In case you haven't been up to date with patch news, patch 3.3.2 was released yesterday. In it, the final section of Icecrown Citadel were released, The Frostwing Halls was released and with it, the boss we've all been waiting for. The Lich King himself.

More importantly, Arena Season 8 has arrived, with it comes Toravon the Ice watcher, the next boss in everyone's favorite, Vault of Archavon. Now, I don't do arena but I do VoA from time to time. Why I'm most excited for season 8 is that now season 7 gear is available for purchase, regardless of arena points/score. This is great because now I can upgrade my armor and make a good dps set. So far I haveFurious Gladiator"s Plate Helm andFurious Gladiator"s Plate Gauntlets which is a good start.

Unfortunately I have the worst luck with dps specs. I've gone through at least 10 and all of them have been horrible. If anyone knows a good dps spec that has been play-tested please link it in the comments section.

New Mage

So a few days ago I made a mage which has been a ton of fun. I've pretty much stopped playing my warrior because I've just been having so much fun with the mage. I mean playing my warrior is alright, but I hate doing instances and raids because I either cant hold aggro as a tank, or my DPS isn't high enough as a DPS. On the other hand, playing a lowbie mage, you don't have to worry about holding aggro, just dishing out damage.

Also, pvp is WAY more fun playing a mage, I can actually get killing blows now. When I was playing my warrior, I couldn't do shit.

Well I'm still gonna play my warrior, but just to mine and maybe do dailies when I'm bored but other than that I'm a full fledged mage. Unfortunately warrior is just an obsolete class, maybe blizzard will finally stop trying to help them (which is nerfing) and instead nerf the real problem.... pallys.

Small Gear Update

Well I ran CoS again. Didn't make a video because I wasn't recording. Also two CoS videos in a row would be fairly boring. Anyways I was hoping to getRoyal Crest of Lordaeron but it didn't drop. Luckily I got some leg-plates that were a decent upgrade. Ironically right after I got those, another pair dropped. The other ones were better then the former but I rolled greed to save my dignity. But, luck was on my side and I won the role anyways. It's just a blue but it's better than my old blue legs.

Next video will probably be a Cath one, sorta like Hobbs but with my warrior. I tried running ZF but it's more fun to actually do it at the level then to do the Hobbs way of pulling.

Culling of Stratholme

Well here is my Culling of Stratholme video. In my opinion, it's terrible. I still need more practice with the whole video making thing. It's kinda weird though, your talking to yourself.

Anyways this was going good because I was home alone while recording. But then in the middle (you should be able to tell when) my dad and brother came home so in order to save my dignity I had to speak very vaguely and act dumb as hell.

This video was recorded a long time so my gear isn't up to date. Also I plan on doing another CoS video in the future. Hopefully it will be better than this one. Well, to those of you who put up with my not so great videos thank you, there will be more to come, hopefully in better quality.

Gear Update

So, I have succeeded a little bit in my quest for getting geared up. When I was bored today I did a little bit of searching around and found this website. If your not in the mood for clicking the site basically gives you a good idea on some good Pre-Naxx gear you can obtain without wasting endless hours doing a single instance over and over.

Seeing as my defense was horrendously low I went around looking for the items recommended. Unfortunately, I MUCH better gear than some of the things. On the other hand, there were a few pieces of gear that I could use. Still, upgrading comes at a cost. While I've been upgrading for my primary tanking spec, I've been losing tons of valuable DPS gear for my offspec. It is just an offspec so it's not as important but, seeing as how I've been dpsing lately (and doing quite poorly at it) to get away from tanking this is a big bummer.

At the end of the day I ended up buying the two Wyrmrest accord items --Cloak of Peaceful Resolutions which was a significant upgrade from my last cape/cloak, some level 60 something green quest reward. That leaves me with only two greens left. Both (ranged and a ring) of which I plan on getting rid of. I also gotBreastplate of the Solemn Council which some consider to be one of the best blues in the game. Sadly it reduced my dps capacity, oh well.

Normally I would have made a video but I have to get in the habit of using this blog. Also I didn't record anything. However, I do plan on putting out an Instructor Razuvious video soon. More details on that in the video to come.

P.S. Just found out my guild is running Patchwerk as I'm writing this, it's also 25 man, I swear that shield better not drop lol.

Welcome to the world of Hawk

To be honest I have no idea why I made this blog. Oh yeah, I was bored.

Well to anyone who showed up, you might as well stick around. Who knows, if I actually make it a habit of updating this thing it could be interesting. Of course if you don't see me post, well thats kinda obvious. In other words I forgot all about this blog.

This blog will be all about WoW, and whatever else I can think of, but mostly WoW.

To start off, I'm still on my quest to get better gear. I've been 80 for around a week know (not including days where I don't play) and I'm still in shitty ass quest gear. A buddy of mine (all in WoW i'll specify if RL) told me to run ToC 5 man constantly. Well I've been doing that and still no dice. I think the only decent thing I got from that so far is The Black Heart. Once I learn how, I'll start linking gear. So to any of you readers, please give a fellow Tank, offspec DPS warrior some tips to gear.
